Jessie Short is TRUCK’s Programming Coordinator. She is an independent curator, filmmaker, and multi­disciplinary artist whose work involves memory, Métis history, and visual culture. In 2011, Jessie received a Master’s degree from Brock University (Ontario) with an MA thesis centred on contemporary Métis visual culture. Jessie served as Executive Director of the Aboriginal Curatorial Collective from 2012-2015 and worked in the Visual Art department of The Banff Centre between 2009‐2010. Jessie has directed two short films, Wake Up! (2015) and Sweet Night (2016), both of which have screened nationally and internationally. Jessie works with Ociciwan Contemporary Art Collective, an Indigenous led arts organization based in Edmonton.
