Function

A show representing the works of four local artists with related visual concerns. While each artist has her own individual direction, there is a visual link between the works in the handling of the fibre medium.

Kari Winter deals with an emphasis on color and geometrics which comprise the design elements in her functional/non-functional pieces.

Danita Noyles combines mixed media with hand-made paper in a self-expressive manner, retaining the importance of formal concerns and surface quality.

Jennifer Grey-Noble creates a harmony between contrasting materials, working primarily with silk, glass, and metal.

Jeannie Soley is inspired by the idea of function as non-function and working with this concept through color and pattern.
